Therapy

Whether you’ve been in therapy all your life or are brand new to the experience, starting with a new therapist can feel daunting. I’m here to make the experience as simple as possible for you!
I would be happy to set up a consult (15-minute phone call) to discuss what you are looking for and to explain a little more about how I work. The relationship between a therapist and client is a significant piece of the healing process of therapy, so it’s important for it to feel like a good fit.
Once we decide to work together, our first sessions will involve intake/history gathering so I can have a fuller picture of who you are. We will also discuss together what your hopes for the therapeutic space are. From there, we will determine the best course of care that is unique to you!

Modalities Used:

  • The length and frequency of our work together can vary dramatically depending on what you need/want to get out of it! Some clients feel in a better place after only a handful of sessions while others appreciate the ongoing rhythm of therapy and prefer to keep meeting at a regular interval. During our initial consult or session, we can discuss what you want from the therapeutic space and determine together a plan that feels right for you.

  • All sessions, whether individual or couples, last about 50 minutes.

  • I have a flat rate of $135 per session. Payment can be made with debit, credit, HSA, or check.

  • As of right now, I am an out-of-network provider and do not accept insurance. I can provide a superbill for clients who, on their own behalf, would like to submit a claim for reimbursement from their insurance provider. Reimbursement amounts vary depending on provider and plan, so check with your insurance to see how much you could be reimbursed.

  • Yes! While I have a physical office space in Edina, MN, I also offer telehealth sessions if that works better for you. Some clients also prefer a mix of in-person and virtual.

As of right now, the Minnesota license board requires clients to be in the state, even when meeting virtually. Therefore, I am only able to see people who are in Minnesota.
